The problem with today Exists from yester's day "I wanted better for you" Turned into "What more can I do?" At the expense of our very selves We've left our morals upon the shelves With reason & logic a fleeting past History no longer reminds but rather fuels Closed-minded or bigot The name calling spigot Is this what we are How long will it go this far? All accepting and welcoming Doesn't seem so inclusive if you're not group damaging Traditions aren't outdated Solid beliefs don't signify shallow What's thrown us to this hatred? Our grace has gone hallow Can we not love with open hearts And recognize different starts It's where we want to finish together So stop tripping each other whether We see the world the same or not This isn't the fight we want to have fought
